I would also say Belvedere or Chopin.
I think that Zubrowka sucks ass, but it is possible that I drank the "fake" Zubrowka, since the real one is outlawed in the USA because of the poisonous Bison Grass.

Aren't all top shelf vodkas made strictly out of wheat nowadays?
I did try Luxusowa, it was good but it had an aftertaste.

Chopin is my personal favorite. I prefer the smoothness of a potato vodka compared to a grain vodka like Belvedere. Don't get me wrong, if there's Belvedere around, I'm going to drink it, but I prefer Chopin above all else. It's so difficult to find Polish vodka in the States, anyway, I take what I can get.

I have to taste potato vodka and grain vodka side-by-side one day, and see the difference for myself. It would be an interesting experiment.
And yeah, EbonyandBathory is right; it’s difficult to find Polish Vodka in the U.S. All you can get here is Absolute (Sweden), Grey Goose (France), Stoli (Russia).

All depends on where in the US you live. I can get Zoladkowa Gorzka, Ultimat (exp only), Pravda (exp only), Luksosowa, Zytnia..etc.

Bison grass IS NOT poisonous. I'd be dead long ago if it was.

No. There are lots of potato vodkas, and the French just forced through a rule in the EU that says you can even make it out of your grandfather's dirty socks, just as long as you put some note about it on the label. Apparently they want to sell fruit distillates as vodka, but if you ask me they're trying to find ways to utilize overripe brie.

Polish vodkas are made either out of potatoes or rye - I don't think there are any wheat vodkas around.

Check these:

http://vodkaranking.com/index.html

http://www.revolution-bars.co.uk/lovevodka/index.php

http://www.vodkawodka.com/index.php?sub=vodka&loc=poland

There are a few grain Polish vodka. Revolution used to be one of my favourite haunts in Nottingham. Skyy was a bit of a favourite

Bit of a surprise:

Pan Tadeusz

- Haven't tried this one yet. My all time favourite is malt scotch (with a smoke necessarily), which I consider the greatest liquor ever invented by man.

- Nope. Is it good? Oh, and I also love Irish whiskey, especially Paddy. To correct my previous statement I shoud say malt scotch and Irish whiskey are the greatest liquors ever invented by man. I know what I'm saying, because I've tried hundreds of liquors and still do.

- Oh yes, they can make their own liquor masterly, don't they? I also like Russian vodka - the real Russian vodka, not pseudo-Russian stuff such as Smirnoff, but the real stuff, e.g. Stolichnaya. It's brilliant.

Oh yes, it was my initiation to vodka. Unfortunately I never got the chance to see how he made it and both my in-laws have passed away so unfortunately their recipe went with them.

Zubrówka (the real stuff) and apple juice is a great drink - very popular here in London. And Wyborowa for shots!

Ohhh, mixing good vodka is a mortal sin! Straight and cold. Save the mixing for Jacquins or Smirnoff

Mixing Żubrówka is an exception ;) I don't like flavored vodka and to me, this is.

For flavored, I use spirytus and fruit to make nalewka or make Miódówka.
