it seems that you are not fit for London, nor the Enlish culture. It depends what you are looking for. It seems to me that you maybe a small city girl (there i snothing wrong with that), or perhaps like more space, which we have planty of here.
The good think about Canada you have already metnioned, but also we have the most brutal winter that even Canadians cannot withstand, so, there are pluses and minuses to every place.
As for stuck-up people, we have some here as well
you know i used to adore London, hanging around bars and clubs meeting new people from all walks of life, but the problem of my existence started when London started lacking social cohesion. People rush everywhere, even on a slow day like sunday, making friends is difficult coz keeping in touch limits to txting or meeting up once every two months.
AM I a small town girl, not really, but I like spacious cities, not metropolia like New York or Toronto or even Chicago-I love Ottawa for example which has a little bit of everything- an immense fields of green and water and woods, small shops and restaurants it is a cosmopolitan city too. Having tea and my fav cheese danish pastry at Tim Hortons or lunch is better than queing at overpriced Starbucks on Oxford street in London...
I am happy with myself, coz I do appreciate everything life offers, even that good lesson here in London with English people-I did not say all of them are bad, coz they are not there are some nice people too, but those whom I met outnumbered all the good ones...
I didnt want to offend anyone-I just expressed my views and shared my experience, but I guess LondonChick does not comprehend the idea that English mite have a bad side too...as every nation, as Poles, Canadians, French, Pakistani, Japanese...
as for Canadian winter-I experienced a month of it, I absolutely loved it, I know it is severe at times and maybe longish up to six months, but i guess I am ready for the challenge....
I have travelled quite a lot, and no matter where I go I always find happiness in every single place i go to...
