These are areas that sometimes define maleness...the pack/harem effect...who a man can persuade to be part of his group........alpha male.....most listened too, sought after. other males ergo females acknowledge as being the ONE!

Easy does it Frank...........

Ok here is the Wolfie version....

We all live in the 21 Century and not back in the 1040's, i feel since the Emily Pankhurst thing on the racecoarse where she threw herself in front of a horse which killed her, just to make a bid for womens lib, well women today are as good as men. They can hold high class jobs and get more respect than any man, and ive had the privilage of working with women.Men and woman today are equals in the house and outside as well, women are more better at coping with stress then most men.
You find today a woman can earn more money in a job than her partner, and leave the husband to pick the kids up and do housework. Its a case of share and share alike and split 50/50 straight down the middle.

Women today are alot stronger then what they were, they can take control of situations better, and can juggle there lives around, very much like busy bees.

That all im sayin..Wolfie

I personally just take it as a compliment.....dont see the point in getting het up about something like that...fine it might be a little bit disrespectful, but sometimes its a bit amusing...I just tend to smile and shake my head...I wouldnt put up with at work off off a male colleauge though.

This is actually a good example of what happens in the pack when one of its members expresses a dissenting point of view. Some of the pack members will mock, threaten, ostracize him for it. It takes courage to stand up to the pack.

I am sorry Syrena that I have started the tread first -

That's ok, Miranda. I did say I wouldn't create one, then changed my mind.

This topic has really upset me. (Not the posts - although I kept watching the sky for a mushroom cloud).

Each sex has different strengths and weaknesses, nature intended this way, why should we try to second guess mother nature???!!

I agree. Men and women complement each other in many wonderful ways. And it is not about the condition of women in Europe and in North America that concerns me the most. Although (and keep in mind that I am in a different generational group) it was not that long ago that things started to change even there.

I rather like what we call here the 'Old World charm', for ex., having the door opened for me, having my escort pick up the tab, men who stand when a woman enters the room (no jokes here please). When these actions are accompanied by true respect, this is a beautiful world.

If everyone agrees, let's close this thread. Oh no, we're still waiting for Matyjasz.

Yes mam thats what i used to do, but didnt think women of today wanted that attension anymore, some i came to the conclusion you and me were a dying breed.

But nice to here that there are some "old fashioned standards" gals around that believe in respect.

I am one as well and I don't believe that being respectful is and old fashin thing.
If one respects herself/himself one respect the others.

Miranda some days you just get me so confused, one minute ya say im right and the nest ya say im wrong. Ive not broke from the pack at all Frank, but if im wrong for voicing an opinion on this matter then yes punish me.
But i didnt say what i said to provoke any reaction, i guess we all live in different areas and see different life style, and those that work in them areas.

To give you a good example of a very strong woman, we dont know her personelly but look at Shell and how strong she is, and she dont need anyone telling her what to do, as she knows what shes going to do, and often tells us when were wrong, that is the modern woman, secondly look at ( P ) and how she fights her corner as well, it proved that point when they set about each other like a "Pack of Wolves" he he he.... But they are strong women and this is the modern woman of today.

Im all for women moving on and why not as time has changed societies as we know it, women have the vote so are equal to men. They can do mens jobs and i dont have a problem with that. Its a case of respecting your fellow human being man or woman, so im old fashioned in my ways of opening doors and buying women flowers and chocolates, is that so bad, Ive given seat up on a bus to a woman and many things, so does this make me any less, of a person.

I just look at the world in a different way to some and hope to women well at least some Miranda i am nice guy, but you look for the bad in me, you will have a long wait.....

feminism...hmmm....don't get started
I despise the Finnish feminists (and Swedish, Sweden is the Mecca for Finnish feminists). Reasons:

a) they want to be treated the "old fashioned way": they don't want to pay their own bill in restaurant etc, yet they want to be treated "equally". This happens also in other fields:they want to rights and freedoms but they don't want the responsibilities that go with them. Another example: gender quotas that they want into privately owned company boards, yet they don't want any less glamorous obligations like forced military service.

b)the male bashing on issues as prostitution: the prostition law makes it illegal to buy sex (most generally it male, but also Finnish females do it in places like Egypt, but I guess that's not a problem for the feminazis, because women are mysteriously the better sex) but not to sell it. A perfect example anti-male blackmailing law. The law doesn't count if the woman voluntarily sells sex. Believe there are those even if the feminazi Göbbels´es don't admit it.

This prostitution is also used a propaganda tool to block all the Slavic women from coming here. I can understand it: when comparing adorable (also mentally !!!) and independent (not oppressing but equal) Slavic women to these scumbags, Finnish man would open his eyes and think: "I don't have to be this ***** -whipped dog to please women. I am a human being for chrissake!!!" Finnish woman is afraid of that thought.

c) Talking about patriarcalistic cultures finnish women show "interesting" duality: they see the Finnish male as despisable chauvinist pig, but any guy from southern countries (excluding all the Slavs, they are seen even worse chauvinists than the finns) even if he is taleban is seen as "charming and considirate". I guess exotic looks give some extra edge, but little honesty is required, fenno ladies.

Also the finnish women's eagerness to marry German men is totally weird, this happened even during WW II !!! It was a real slap against the Finnish male's face to tell that these German hauptmann's and sturmbannfuhrer's were so gentleman compared to Finnish men.
Well if the **** is gonna hit the fan again once more, I am leaving the country: let these fine Finnish women defend themselves, let them call their nazi & taleban "gentlemen" to help.

The feminists in Finland & Sweden are truly terrible, somehow feminists are much much much more civilized and humane in rest of Europe. I don't why it is like this ?

Sorry for the rant but that's just what I feel

Hhhhmmmmmm...have you been badly hurt along the way by one of your feamale friends/partners...its just to sounds an awful lot more than just a rant.........as if you've been torn or badly damaged sometime...just my reading between the lines.

I agree if the local female population treats their males poorly/despise them, then something is badly wrong, have you articles/ surveys etc to back up your views Maxx?

Sorry I wish I had, most of the anti-male articles and speeches are in Finnish. Surveys are not done on this, because all the researchers are too busy proving the badness of finnish male. For example the violence-on-women was intrepreted in such way that even yelling is considered as violence also if the woman attacks with a knife and man repels it by twisting it is considered the male as the perpertrator.

edit: Social & Health Ministry in Finland have said quite blunt: "Equality means not making netral laws but giving edge to women, because genderhierarchy favors men"

stm.fi/Resource.phx/vastt/tarvo/tane/tiedotteet/tied2002/t2002-04.htx

(only in finnish, sorry)

"All animals are equals but some animals are more equal than others"- Animal Farm, George Orwell
Finland = rogue state

Foreign men rarely see it, because the finnish women show their good and nice side to them. It is us who see the bad side.

Yes, I have been hurt. Not respecting me as a human being has been hurtful.
