Ok..That's interesting that you like Norways national team... Most people in Europe critizise their style of play and dislike them... Nevertheless, we have a quite strong team going on, and I absolutely believe we will qualify now, with two matches remaining-
Turkey (H) & Malta (A).... I'm half polish and must say I am very impressed with Poland this qualifier! Imagine having Klose & Podolski on the team as well, what damage could "we" have caused!

How big issue for the Polish people is it that Klose & Podolski are playing for the "enemy"?

For me there are no enemies anymore. But i must say i'd prefer to see Podolski and Klose playing for Poland than Germany...I think today it's still "better" to play for Germany than Poland (appart from money), the Championship is very good, the national team is strong and well-known, etc. Polish football is developping but there are still some problems...But i hope things are going to change quickly ;)

By the way, after Klose & Podolski, there is another Polish-German young player who is going to play for the Mannschaft. Dennis Krol plays for the Barcelona youth team, and is 17 (if i remember well...). He hesitated between Poland and Germany, and finally decided to play for Germany.

Great nature, allright people, stupid politics and expensive prises (although high wages)
Have you been here`? If so, where in Norway did you visit?

You're absolutely right of course, the war is over. I was using the term enemy as I could imagine the controverse about the players choosing Germany instead of Poland. And I
think you're right about playing for the "best" team, in addition to achieve things and develop as a player, one can understand their decision.
Pity though!

Yes, one of the 'few' problems of Norway is the expensive prices for almost everything, but the wages are very high too, so...
No, it's so sad i have never been to Norway yet, i have seen photos, i love fjords (LoL), i like the Norwegian history too, the Vikings are so interesting (the girls i know are used to tell me i'm a Viking because of my physical appearance), etc. And i talk to some Norwegian people by MSN, and they're really nice ;)
To finish about why i like Norway, i can add that i love the cold, snow, winter, skiing, etc. (to give you an example : i'm almost 'naked' at home almost all of the time, and the heater in my bedroom never works, cause i don't want it to...my mother often tells me she is cold at the sight of me, LoL)

LoL yeah i understand. But i hope some other players in the future will choose Poland...and maybe a German player who has some far Polish ancestors... :p LoL

Yep...but if Poland qualifies for the Euro 2008, everything would be ok... ;)

You told me you are half Polish, right ? And the other half...Norwegian i guess... ;) What is the Norwegians attitude towards Polish people ? (i think there are no problems...and if your parents are Polish AND Norwegian, then they would be a great example of Polish/Norwegian friendly relationship, hehe)

the Vikings are so interesting

My favourite club team (the local one) is called Viking Stavanger.. Uwe Rosler is their manager.. They ended up 3rd place this season..

Yes, the fjords are undoubtedly beautiful... You should visit Norway one time if you get the chance..Here's a photo from the local fjord;

Quite nice =)

Half polish is correct, matka jest polska i tata jest norweg (correct polish?)
I think the Norwegians attitude towards polish is a little bit narrow minded
I.E. Polish = strawberry pickers & vodka to many norwegians..
And some say that the polish are taking over norwegians jobs; but that only reflects the insight of people saying it; Norway is in a very lucky situation with practically NO unemployment, so the polish here working are here working because Norway needs them..

Hehe, you are right about that friendly relationship, I'm a pomorskie festival child =)

Some find them traitors but in fact Klose is ethnically Germany and left Poland, when he was a little kid and Podolski (some Polish-German mix) wanted to play for Poland but our "great" coaches said that he is... not good enough.

Most of "Poles", who are in national sport teams of other countries are people, who were already born there, so hard to expect other behavior.

And It also depends on quality of the team. Our football team recently has been playing quite well and here we go, some English guy already playing in U-21, some French guy trying to get in etc.

Once is not enough, i'd like to go there many times, and maybe stay a little, and why not live there (if i had enough money of course...hehe)

I'm not good enough to tell you if it's correct... i think it's "matka jest Polką"... ;) Polska is in Norwegian...or Polskker...LoL don't know, i can understand a little written Norwegian and i hope i'll learn more ;)

Exactly. I spent my summer holiday in a hotel where there were Poles who were learning Norwegian (they were recruited by Norwegians, i saw them by the way at my last lunch there, i was eating not far from them). And in another city i remember a tent on which it was written something like "Work in Holland"...

This year, for the 3rd time, i went to the Viking Festival of Wolin (Jomsborg, where there were as it is said the Jomsborg Vikings...)
I loved it ;)

Have to go now, it's getting a bit late 3:00 in the morning...It was nice to talk to you ;)

Godnatt...Dobranoc.

Wow. I really didn't know. That's just...poor judgement...

Like Leiv Eriksson and the vikings travelling to America in year 1000, and then returning back home because there was nothing there...

Wow, you really ARE interested in the vikings- Cool =)
Did you know; New York obviously originates from York, but York is an anglification of Jorvik, which originally was a Viking settlement.- So vikings indirectly named the city New York?

Nice talking to you too...

Nothing...but the Indians, if i remember well, the Vikings left these lands because they were being killed, or at least attacked by the natives...
By the way, did you know that among these Vikings, they might have been some Polish people. The Poles were known to be good sailors and warriors, that's why the Vikings took some of them in their quests...so the 'Viking Poles', along with the Vikings, might have discovered America 5 centuries before the famous Christopher Columbus... ;)

Aha, actually England was influenced by a few cultures like French culture, AND Vikings culture (Danes in the South of England, and Norwegians in the North...) Today some of the vocabulary come from the Old Norse (the Vikings language).
