Got a few days trip coming up and wondered if somewhere serves really hot food. I had the vindaloo in Ganesh and some good stuff in Bombaj Massala but is there some place that will make me weep ? - can be Thai or Mexican too.

and is there any place that sells really hot sauce. In kuchnia swiat hottest i could find was some mexican sauce called melinda but i got immune to it quickly.

Apparently Curry House in Bielany is the place you're after. Personally I am not a fan at all but I'm told it does seriously spicy stuff. Also getting raved about by a certain curryhead is Rain by India Curry, good cocktails there too (the place is run and part owned by Ray, formerly of Sense).

Spoco Loco is the place you want. The outfit in Wilanow is a pain in the cock to get to and the one in Saska Kepa is basically take-away only. However, the sauce is a thing of beauty. No matter how hot you think you like your spice, do not have the number seven sauce until you have tried the number six. The number five is hotter than most other places' hottest sauce, the six is as hot as I'll go and the seven will make your face melt. By far and away the hottest food in Poland.

ostrakuchnia.pl although I think it's actually in Poznan. They sell stuff so hot it can't be used as a sauce.

some mexican sauce called melinda

There are a few of those, I like the Red Savina [hotsaucezone.com/brands/melindas/] But OstraKuchnia have stuff literally 50 times hotter than that!

Wow great. Will definitely try Rain - actually used to like that place and good they kept the fish dishes. i noticed there was a swingers club in the car park !

Will then brave the number 5 in Spoco Loco and will give that website a try - its in wroclaw.

went to Rain a few days ago and it is good food (only problem is the Kingfisher was not cold enough). The Chilli fish is properly hot.

Problem with Spoco Loco is that its too far to make a journey there and back if you have other commitments in town. But will try and get there on a more relaxed visit. Warsaw is getting like New York - never cross a bridge unless you really have to !

Harry, where is that and have you been there? I live in Bielany but have never heard of the place.

Likewise - is it any good? If so I'll visit.

BTW, I make my own hot sauce (including a VERY hot one from Scotch bonnets). Very easy to make, a 2 stage process is all - just takes a bit of time in the first stage.
