Do Polish restaurants use dead dogs fat as a delicacy for you to eat?

To the mods: I'm fine with people who don't like Polish food, but would you like the title of the thread to come up when people search for Polish restaurants?

Exactly. The thread title is trolling and it should be moved to random chat. The only case I've heard of about restaurants in Poland was a Vietnamese place in Piaseczno and the owners were prosecuted by the Polish authorities. Serving dog is illegal in PL.

Its funny, when I was in Warsaw back in 05 I was warned off all the interesting street vendors with hushed "woof, woofs",a big scandle the year before apparently????

The thread title is misleading and have nothing to do with the case described in post. No one is/was serving dishes containing such fat. It's just an illegal diet supplement which some people believe that it has some healing power or consuming it brings health benefits. It's probably an old superstition.

Due to blunt stiring-up purpose of that thread it should be removed or at least renamed to prevent spreading untruth.

Bloody rubbish! I hate people who are cruel to animals and those who abuse them. They are wicked and sick. Cant believe Polish people would do that to an animal and be as cruel as they are in Asia. Damn Vietnam and everyone who abuses the innocents! May you rot inm hell, God will make sure you do!

Your should have been recycled then. Such a waste of flesh and organs. Change your nick to "Meatbag". Would be more accurate.

Why eat a dog is cruelty but eat a rabbit is not?

I Think that i would eat anything that doesn't have the same DNA as me and is slaughtered without pain.

There used to be a restaurant near Poznan (a Korean one) that would allegedly do dog if you knew them and pre-ordered it. I heard it's nice meat. Of course it could just be an urban legend, however the wholesale Vietnam food suppliers down by Piaseczno somewhere who were putting dog and cat meat in the Saigonki is not an urban legend. The meat was analysed and they were prosecuted.

I've got a fortnight in Dubai coming up. There's a North Korean restaurant there that serves dog stew. Tempting. Last year I was stuck in that city on Christmas Day and thought I may go, take some photos, pop them on Facebook with the caption "a dog is for life not just for Christmas. But this one was just for Christmas dinner" and see how many people unfriended me.

Seriously, dog is not eaten as a rule in Poland. It is illegal to sell as meat. The infamous dog lard is an old countryside thing made for m divination purposes and belongs firmly in the past.
