I first tried it in the US after we climbed with my Polish friend in the mountains. Typically american food, really good to recharge energies. The only problem I don't like peanut butter. Do Poles eat it a lot in Poland?

It isn`t popular, though it`s available, I buy it from time to time.

deathbed?

A funny looking bed.

There's a chap at work who eats tonnes and tonnes of food. I don't know about before he arrives at work, but before he starts he has a tin of rice pudding, then at morning break: a load of ham sandwiches and a hard-boiled egg; at lunchtime the same again. I think he has some fruit as well. Then, allegedly, he eats on the way home as well.

He doesn't bring his sandwiches in in a little plastic sandwich bag. This man measures his breakfast by the bale.

Burgers more like. The Poles love scrambled eggs as pgtx showed. It's cheap, quick and cheerful.

And here's another thing etc etc

Dtaylor, I cannot say why as the 500ml's of vodka has worn off, but that cracked me up. I've just sewn up my sides. That was very funny indeed :)

Stubborn, oh really? Even blind people reached that conclusion

Jam in Poland is rank - nothing like the chunky fruity stuff you get in England :( personally Im a fruit and fibre with yoghurt kinda person and the English breakfast is not so popular these days which is not surprising considering the amount of fat in it!

When do you get your info from? 10 years ago? :):):)

Today you can get all kinds of jam, with big pieces of fruit too. I buy only such jam.

Krakus jam is excellent and much better than any English jam I have tasted. It's Polish jam and is exported throughout the world. English jams tend to be a bit too sweet and with lots of sugar in them.

Polish fruit has less chemicals in them too :)

I love Krakus blueberry jam, it's my favourite. I love Polish blueberies :)

I was brought up on Polish jams and I think we all acquire our taste from our upbringing perhaps ?

I'm not a jam person. But there are one or two good ones. Generally I think that the choice is rather limited.

Still waiting for real marmalade to make an appearance on the Polish market.

real marmalade

I never tasted marmalade till I started work and went on a course and at the hotel we stayed at, they had marmalade on the breakfast table <true>

I used to like lemon marmalade but haven't eaten any for ages cos I no longer eat bread and can't think what else you would eat it on apart from toast ?

Try a spoonful on a digestive biscuit.

Edit: Maybe in some sort of cake. (cheesecake)

a digestive biscuit.

I don't eat biscuits :(

I don't have any gluten products and hate the alternatives available. So marmalade etc passes me by.

But it's an interesting suggestion for anyone else to try :)

:)
