Are there any African or Carribean restaurant's in Warsaw?

Hi my family background is Nigerian and Jamaican and I was born in London and moved to Poland with my girlfriend and I never came across any African or Carribean restaurant's in Warsaw does anyone know any that are open?

There are two which I know of: Home Africa Bar in Wola near the Wola Park shopping centre, supposed to be quite good and is run by a Nigerian bloke called Julius, specialty of the house is goat's head; over in Saska Kepa is Baobab Cafe, run by a gentleman from Senegal, I've not been myself but a mate of mine swears that when he went there the cook needed to phone his mum in Senegal to ask how cook the dish! There's also Tam Tam on Foksal but that place is as African as Dublin is.

There's a Brazilian restaurant on ul. Próżna, and there used to be an Ethiopian Cafe next to Aurora on ul. Dobra. May still be there. I don't suppose Tam Tam counts as authentic African. Last time I went there they'd even given up pretending.

A friend of mine from the Carribean has talked about opening a Carribean restaurant, but his business model seems a little adventurous. Something to do with a buffet and dancing. There used to be a Cuban place near pl. Zbawicela, not sure if there are any others.

Closer to home, we buy cow's foot in a butcher shop, chop it up and cook it for hours & hours in water with spices, garlic, salt, pepper, etc. It is a good idea to evacuate the house during cooking time to avoid the overwhelming smell. Then pour this mess into a large flat pan and refrigerate. It sets to a nice translucent grey jelly with a layer of fat on top. Cut into large cubes and serve with lots of horseradish to kill the taste and lots of vinager.
