Is brain-damaging veganism a growing fad in Poland or do Poles know better?
Young people on vegan diets often go bonkers because they are starving their brain of necessary nutrients?
But trendies will fall for anything, and there are always wheeler-dealer types ready to promote and exploit any profit-making fad. Back in the 19th centruy circus mogul Barnum once said: 'There's a new sucker born every minute.' Today's popculture shows he was right on.

Right.

Vegans are actually healthier. Vegetarians need to watch their protein levels but there's plenty of protein in eggs and cheese (which vegans are allowed to eat). People are better off with less meat, it's full of fat and toxins.

Polonius, do you really think, 100 years ago, that Poles could afford to eat meat every day? That every single family had enough pigs and chickens to slaughter that they could eat meat all the year round, including winter when there's hardly anything to feed the animals with?

Humans are perfectly capable of living on a vegetarian or even vegan diet. With advances in medical research, this has been shown more and more true, and with enough information about ingredients it can be cheaper AND healthier to live a vegetarian lifestyle in the modern world. Of course, meat gives us a lot of essential vitamins in one basic package, but it comes at the price of a lot of fat and, to be honest, wastage too. 5kg of grain to grow 1kg of chicken meat, which doesn't have 5 times the nutritional value? There's no way an agricultural economy could survive on those numbers.

So don't let your smalec-addled brain distort basic scientific fact.

1000 Years ago only royalty could eat meat everyday. Everyone else existed on fish, carbs, veggies, roots, stuff like that. We evolved on that kind of food which is why people who eat a lot of meat have so many health problems. Our bodies are not accustomed to such a diet.
Vegan diet is evolutinary correct (e.c.)

Marx put an emphasis on eating meat.
Stalinists don’t like deviation.

Don’t be frightened of what people eat unless it's petrol and glass.

You've got that backwards, some vegetarians eat eggs and cheese but vegans don't eat any 'animal products' including honey (it's exploitation of the beeees, man).

You can get enough protein with a vegan diet, just make sure to combine grains (rice, wheat esp) with legumes (peas, beans). But you still have to pay a lot of attention to your intake.

No. Humans are evolved to be omnivores (our teeth and digestive tracks are hybrids with carnivore and herbivore features). It's true that many people overdo the red meat but we're not evolved to thrive without it ether. No herbivore species that I know of can't produce all the amino acids it needs and can't digest cellulose (humans don't and can't).

As to the original question: A few years ago (like over ten) there was a famous case of a vegan mother who only wanted her children to eat raw fruits and vegetables and for a time her kids were taken from her (I think she got them back eventually). Maybe someone else remembers the details.

That is why we need fish and eggs but we don't need other kinds of meat. Seafood cultures are healthier than red meat ones. They are on average longer lived, the Japanese being a good example and they eat a lot of fish.

A vegan diet adhered to correctly is actually very healthy, but that means being very disciplined and organised and making sure you are eating the correct combination of foods to ensure you are getting the right nutrients.

Many young people with good intentions take it up because they don't want to eat animal products, but not having done the research they think they can survive on stuff like crisps and coffee on a daily basis. Also if you aren't prepared to increase your intake of fruit and veg then forget it, it's not for you.

Having said all that there are plenty of omnivores and carnivores with damaged brains.

The biggest problem that Vegans face is getting enough B complex vitamins especially B12. A lack of B12 leads to dementia like problems which can become permanent if a tipping point is reached.

There are also problems associated with meat eating.

Pol3, supplements and nutrients can be found in other sources. You shouldn't make out that vegans are losing out overall as they tend to be very aware of what they take into their bodies. Poles are mainly meat eaters but, as Richfilth said, many can't afford good meat here. They have to opt for the cheaper cuts but savings have to be made in many areas even to get that much.

Fish and seaweed I think.
The biggest source used by veggies is probably eggs
Vegans I’m not sure.

I thought the vegans were the ones who ate fish, eggs and dairy while the vegetarians ate only veggies, no animal products whatsoever. Did I confuse the two terms?

Vegetarians will eat dairy products. Strictly speaking no seafood or fish.

Vegans will not consume any products of animal derivation. Strictly speaking won't wear leather or silk either:

"Vegetarians, and their Hezbollah-like splinter-faction, the vegans, are a persistent irritant to any chef worth a damn.

To me, life without veal stock, pork fat, sausage, organ meat, demi-glace, or even stinky cheese is a life not worth living.

Vegetarians are the enemy of everything good and decent in the human spirit, an affront to all I stand for, the pure enjoyment of food. The body, these waterheads imagine, is a temple that should not be polluted by animal protein. It's healthier, they insist, though every vegetarian waiter I've worked with is brought down by any rumor of a cold.

Oh, I'll accomodate them, I'll rummage around for something to feed them, for a 'vegetarian plate', if called on to do so. Fourteen dollars for a few slices of grilled eggplant and zucchini suits my food cost fine." -Tony Bourdain

I agree with Tony 100%. That said, they don't bother me in the least.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Or we need poultry and ungulates and don't need fish.

What a wonderful thing that we all have the freedom to choose the diet we prefer.

Bloody hell, it's just food. It goes in one end, it goes out the other. Do you have an orgasm every time you take a sh!t? Do you go to gourmet bathrooms, with heated seats, and pay $10 per sheet of paper woven on the thigh of a Columbian virgin? No. It's just bodily functions. Food is food, whether it's dry bread or caviare, and it's not worth getting that upset about.

And entertainment is just entertainment, traveling is just traveling, wine is just wine, music is just music, and sex is just sex. It's more of a comment on the attitude of certain people. Like I said, I don't mind them, could care less until I get a lecture...but, why not really enjoy something? Is that a bad thing to be passionate about things in our daily life?

But you're right about the Veggie lectures. That's a key element of Libism today: They are never content to just do their own warped thing and let others be; they feel compelled to force compliance on others. It's fascism-light. Such secondhand Libism is harmful to society's health.
