Can I buy Christmas crackers in Gdansk?

Ok, so I've left this a bit late, but was hoping to bring some Christmas crackers back from the UK so that we could have the fun of silly hats and crap jokes with Xmas lunch. Hadn't realised however, that because of the small amount of dynamite in them it's now impossible to take them on a plane - even if checked into the hold! I came back yesterday and have spent the day doing Xmas shopping but still haven't found the crackers.

I've tried M+S at Cliff, near Gdynia but no luck. Nothing at Galleria Baltycka in Wrzeszcz either.
Does anyone know anywhere in the tricity area that may have them?

Same question about Warsaw. All the M&S are sold out.

JonnyM: Just pack them in your luggage next time Yeah right - Have you seen airport security now-a-days?! Next time I'll get them sent over, don't fancy taking the risk of getting my bags flung of the flight before they even get loaded.

gdj67: Yeah right - Have you seen airport security now-a-days?! I once had dogs sniff my bags in a sh1thole in Yukatan and they were flicking though pages of books. I was terrified there was a bit of weed I'd forgotten. But generally if they look at all they're looking for specific things. Minute amounts of gunpowder aren't among them and Christmas crackers should be OK.

Apparently M&S Poland do stock the things from early December onwards but demand this year was a lot higher than they expected.

My guess would be that it's another example of Poles who've lived in the UK bringing British tastes/habits back with them. Another example of Poland becoming more like the UK. An American I know well here says that it is far easier to get a turkey now than at Thanksgiving.

Nope, I went to M&S Gdynia for the same reasons, to find some crackers and other British traditional Christmas bits but with no joy :( I've been trying to find Swede/Turnip/Brukiew everywhere, again with no joy :( One the plus side Christmas will continue without those things :)

I found a 3.5kg leg of lamb yesterday in the reduced section in Kaufland; down from 130PLN to 35. Who says there's no santa?

I'm not worried. It was deep frozen and from a reputable supplier. Enjoy your carp!
