Does anyone know where I can find canned pumpkin in Warsaw? I think I missed out on the actual pumpkin season and I wanted to make some pies and soup. I haven't found anything at Carrefour. Would piotr i pawel or tesco have it??

Still fresh pumpkins for sale in my local fruit & veg market this morning.

I have yet to find canned pumpkin and I have actually looked for it. your best bet is to buy a pumpkin and roast it yourself. it is actually quite easy and it tastes much better than canned. But if you do find it, come back and say where...I use it too.

Hmm, I might have to look harder for pumpkins. I prefer the real thing over canned but I live only by a Carrefour so I might have to try to find a market.

Try the veg stalls in the market at Hala Mirowska. They should have fresh pumpkins still.

Try Kuchnie Swiata for canned pumpkin - I'm pretty sure I've seen it in the branch in Zlote Tarasy.

there is pumpkin cubes in a jar. not the same thing- don't buy it. my guess is that you are trying to make pumpkin pie for American thanksgiving?

me too! Honestly, I have looked everywhere- no luck. but this is one of the good things about living in Poland- going back to basics with food preparation--my eating habits have gotten 100% better.
