Exactly! I don't think Jesus was feeding the 5000 with carp, do you? It is fatty, disgusting and has huge sword-like bones. One of the worst fish out there.

Carp is like game, mutton and other foods -- it requires special treatment for maximum flavour. The meat of an old ram or old stag would also be pretty had to take without certain procedures (salting, marinating, cooking a certain way, etc.). If bred in clean water and properly prepared, carp can be one of the best eating fishes around. Smoked carp is superior in flavour to most other smoked species. The Jews have developed an '11-hour-carp', gently simmered with veggies and seasoning for, yes! -- 11 hours, making all the bones soft and edible.

11 hours is not exactly one's idea of an express meal. If you were to throw a carp into an industrial strength furnace you'd have it vaporized in no time. You'd be inhaling its nourishing fumes (bones, mud and all) within seconds deeply satisfied to have outsmarted those wily and conniving Jews.

Hey, pigs not only eat their own and other animals' (and human)
excrement, they'll also gobble down carrion and their own piglets not to metnion all manner of garbage, but nothing is tastier than pork: succulent roasts and chops, fragrant smoked ham, juicy kiełbasa, sizzly, bacon, gouremt pork loin, and ideal mince (for goł±bki, etc.)!!!

The best carp I've had in Poland .... was at a Vietnamese new year's party.

The first time I had carp (work stołówka) I could not finish it, each bite seemed to have more mud than the last. That's when I figured out that people keep them in their bath tubs to clean them out.

Fun fact, in Romanian, carp is 'crap'. No, really.
