Really? The wine specialty store where I live has tons of it, and it's the only vodka they sell. I looked down upon it and never bought a bottle since it was made in Texas.

Grab a bottle and thank me later. It's drinkable at room temperature :)

You wrote that too late, I went and got a big bottle of Black Raspberry Belvedere yesterday, the flavor makes it go down very nicely to be honest.

I wonder why everybody is saying "Zubrowka with apple juice", as it's not even clear vodka. It's good for drinks, but truth to be told, in Poland it's considered primarly for women. If you want to drink shots in "oldschool" polish wedding/birthday style, zubrowka is not good.
Imho, as a polish citizen with some experience, the list of best polish vodkas should look this:
Good and cheap vodkas - Luksusowa, Sobieski, Zoladkowa gorzka czysta, Absolwent (not that good, but bearable)
Better vodkas - Wyborowa, Pan Tadeusz
Luxury vodkas - Belvedere, Chopin
Good flavoured/herbal vodkas - Krupnik, Zoladkowa gorzka (original), Wisniowka, Cytrynowka.
The vodka of choice for me is Wyborowa or Zoladkowa, as they are good and reasonably priced (at least in Poland). Krupnik is great in cold months for warming.
And of course most important thing is that if you drink vodka in shots it should be ice cold (except for flavoured/herbal ones). Cheers.

Superb post, ziggy :) :)

Żubrówka is good but overrated. Pan Tadeusz is remarkably smooth, distinguishing it from some of the harsher cheap offerings. I loved every drop and I'm not really a fan of vodka at all.

Krupnik is a great vodka as you said :) The honey one is a great warmer in winter.

First I've heard of it. What's the best vodka for electric tea? For me it's Żołądkowa.

What is the difference with premium Vodkas i.e Belvadere,Chopin? It seems like a lot of marketing bulls*** to me.The premium brands often say "filtered 3 times or 4 times" Does this matter? Is better Vodka made from grain as opposed to potatoes? When I drink the bathtub varietals like "Gregori" I feel like sh## the next day,I never have that experience with Absolut or Grey Goose.Sorry I cant afford
Belvadere.I have to be honest I dont drink Stolichnaya, dont trust the Russians!!

Try the rather new Żubrówka Biała. A clean and neutral taste. Good price too.

I don't know what was its name, but it is quite expensive and the bottle shaped in a pear or drop-like form. It was really smooth. It almost felt like water. Really nice. With a raspberry to chew on. Yummy

the bottle shaped in a pear

and if you drink enough of it then it makes women shaped in a pear look like they are shaped in an hourglass.

:))) But then men turn from banana-shaped into a dried apricot form and the hour-glasses fly away to search egg-plants. There should be some balance, DE ;)

You might be surprised, but the best polish vodka is Luksusowa.
There is not much potato's vodkas you can buy, one of it is Luksusowa and in my opinion it is the best.
Most of all the taste is completely different to any of rye vodkas, it's very smooth and wneh chilled is not stinging. Some might tell that the smell is a bit worse comparing to say Absolut or Finlandia but it is a matter of what you like. Honestly I do not see any reason to buy the premium vodkas, for much less you can have really good, if not excellent drink. I think that it is not very poplar due to the bottle that probably is not very striking.
