Yes, luncheon meat but.....

Yuk! I bought it because I was tempted by Traditional/ old Polish on the label. However, the only tradition which was there must have originated in communist times when meat was scarce and unavailable so various substitutes were concocted.

I put this thing onto the plate but eventually gave it to cats which also didn`t like it.

Kind of soup? Wow, it looks like what we call semolina. I'm guessing that it's some kind of mushroom soup.

I'll stick with my original thought that it's an offshoot of borówkowa but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it's zupa z niczego where milk and eggs are the main ingredients.

Carrot soup? ;)

Nope, though it contains cubes of carrot.

krupnik?

Nope, though it contains Polish cereal.

Cereal and carrot are the only hard chunks here. All the rest is liquid.

Look at its color.

Nice (but tough looking) asparagus. The things on the sandwich look like those tube-like offal things (I forget the name, begins with 'z') that you sometimes get in Barszcz Biały.

Yes! My son was to a mustard factory in Krakow with his class and they were allowed to create their own stuff so he put raisins into it, among others. It was very good.
