Placek po wegiersku & tasty polish food

Hi, i have just returned from Poland and am looking for a recipe for placek po wegiersku. My boyfriend is Polish but doesnt cook, he just loves to eat! Unfortunately i didnt ask his mum for recipes as she speaks no english and my polish is very basic! His babcia also made a lovely cake with apricots and a crumbly topping, i think this is placek z kruszonka? Many thanks

Make a potato pancake (you don't need flour, however) http://www.exclusivelyfood.com.au/2006/07/potato-pancakes-recipe.html then make some goulash-like stew (it could be basic, just some fried pork with paprika and flour) ...and that's all.
