They think cabbage is healthy.

I have been here for 3 months

hotdog has cabbage
hambuger has cabbage
kebab has cabbage

if you order a meal it usually has cabbage on the plate somewhere.

I think if they could find a way to put cabbage on pizza they would.

Hahhahaa we have also cabbage tea, whipped cream desserts with cabbage and we even wipe with cabbage ! :D

In the pizza thread somebody mentioned pizza with sauerkraut, and I think it wasn't a Pole...

When most of fresh food in my refrigerator rotted, there was still a nice head of cabbage and some potatoes left.
LOL Disclaimer: that's a proof of cabbage superior storage capability, not an insight into my current practices.
How about cabbage and mashed potatoes? Colcannon Irish call it, right?

Well the stuff keeps well and is loaded in vitamin c. Great veggie for those long cold dark winters of Poland. That and when it absorbs the fatty juices from the ribs / pork hawks / deli dupkas, it takes on new and wonderful tastes.

Cabbage is a health food. It has more Vitamin C than oranges. That is why the poor Polish peasants of yesteryear, who ate a stedy diet of cabbage and sauerkraut dishes, never suffered from scurvy, even though citrus fruits were a luxury far out their reach. Cabbage is also an anti-oxidant, meaning that it prevents cancer.

Remind me not to eat anything from your kitchen. ;-P

One cup of cabbage contains only around 15 calories. No wonder those Polish women are amongst the fittest on the planet! Compare that to your average Big Mac.

Reminds me of a pre 89 Polish joke: what is 100 m long, moves slowly and reeks of cabbage? Queue of Poles buying bread..
