delphiandomine: They serve a useful function - to provide cheap food to people who can't afford much. Personally, I think it's insulting to look down at people eating such things. If they do, it's their choice - who am I to judge?
Hmmm, if only that were the whole story. I have the odd laugh at P3's expense wrt his occasional post-Orwellian turns of phrase, but have to take a leaf out of his book here - the ahem, tescofication of the market place has destroyed smaller, traditional zakłady mięśne all over the country. In the name of consumer choice? Hardly. This is just a de facto monopoly using its purchasing power to take a ligature to the market and cauterise the competition's access to the markets.
