I WOULD HAVE TO SAY ZYWIEC>>> or MAGNAT>>> or LECH>>>>>... but i'm not sure i think ZYWIEC IS THE BEST!!! AND SPIRITUS POLISH WODKA WHICH IS ALMOST PURE ALCOHOL IT THE BESTEST TASTING ALCOHOL ON THIS PLANET!!!

Do you have Becherovka in Poland? It is Popular in the Czech Republic and VERY nice. It is only 38% though so a little weaker than your vodka......

Zywiec is a damn fine beer, and quite readily available in Australia. I has warka strong when i was in pl and i thought it was awesome, unfortunately, you can't get warka in australia. I never had Tyskie but everyone says how good it is, what kind of beer is it?

Tyskie is quite strong and is quite popular in Poland (especially that it has good PR campaign - it's a sponsor of Wisla Krakow and other sports teams).

when i first went to poland everyone was drinking ten and a half but now i never see it... anyone know why...?

thats right. one day ten and a half was very popukar, and then suddenly desapeared. The best polish beer is TYSKIE

Thanks to the weatherspoons chain you can buy both Tyskie and Zwiecz all over the UK. You have to go easy though as Polish beer is very strong

Well strong compared to normal British beers! Tyskie & Zywiec are 5.6%!!

Zywiec reminded me of Heineken, but it's definitely got a better taste IMO. Zywiec is the only Polish beer anyone carries around here. Maybe I gotta make a beer run into Bayonne.

I just got back from Poland with my wife and had a number of beers there that were not available for sale here in my hometown of Chicago. After the trip my favorite Polish beers are as follows: 1. Wojak 2. Fratter 3. Lech 4. Okocim 5. Zywiec 6. Warka 7. Harnas Wojak and Fratter are fantastic but hard to find. I found Wojak at Kaufland in Bielsko-Biala and Fratter in a local Albert supermarker within the Karpackie neighborhood in Bielsko-Biala. I wish these two beers were available in Chicago. They are fantastic! Anyone else had these beers?

sorry... off the subject of beer slightly, but i used to live with 3 polish guys from warsaw, and we used to drink this polish vodka with a bit of grass or a long leaf in it...? does anyone know it??? i need to know the name so my boyfriend cn bring some back with him... thanks

no problem..its great isnt it. not sure where you live, but you can also get it in some supermarkets and off-licences in the UK. Traditionally drunk with apple juice, ice and slice.. although Ive recently tried it with Bitter Lemon and Cranberry (not together), which werent bad either..

i live in norwich, but as you say, its so much cheaper in poland, so ill get him to bring quite a few bottles over... we used to drink it with apple juice too, shot of zubrowka then the apple, mmmmm i cant wait, and i know this is totaly off the subject of beer, but jacek, one of the guys i lived with used to bring these 'soya chops' back from poland we're both vegetarians, anywy ive looked all over for them and cant find them anywhere, any idea what they're called, or a translation??? thanks

sorry have no idea about that one, but Im sure someone else could help you if you start a new thread in food and drink. God I could do with a Zubrowka right now.. but Im at work so maybe not the best idea.
