Why are foreigners coming to Poland and from which countries?

While thousands of Poles are leaving Poland, many foreigners are coming in
I guess, the main reason why foreigners are coming to Poland is employment opportunities. Any other?

Does that make any sense?? People leave Poland to work and other come to Poland to work.
It's a crazy world.

well if I am a foreigner then the answer is because i feel connected to my roots... and feel something within me is filled when i am there... same goes for india... the missing pieces get put together and filled

A lot of people from around here have roots in Poland, and for them to travel there is the Biggest Thing in the world! It means a lot to them to see where their grandparents lived and they do genealogy research.
But they don't stay there. They just visit and boost the Polish economy.

Yes it makes perfect sense to people like me. I would work for 5 złoty an hour. Atleast I would earn something.. Here, I earn 6 euro, but have to pay so much, it probably would be more profitable for me to work in your country..



I believe greedy is a better word than crazy in this case. I wonder what will happen once the people from Asia are willing to do your work for 2 euro?

I'm coming beacuse of my GF. It's also a very underrated vacation destination. I have a blast everytime. Airfare is resonable and my dollar goes a bit further.

I love to be able to visit small cities where there aren't many tourists and experience the culture at it's finest.

I noticed there are quite a few poeple from Vietnam in Krakow. They work mainly in restaurants or have small stallls on the market. I don't know much about situation in Vietnam but I guess they came to Poland for better life.

I think many people still can't face reality. Newsflash!!!-----> These crazy contraptions called boats, airplanes, and cars have been invented. You will now be introduced to foreigner from all countries and all colors. No matter where you live. If you cannot deal with this, your option is to hide in a cave. Where you will eventually be discovered. Probably by a foreigner.

Well... yes and no... in places in both Poland and India, out of the regular places like cities where alllll types of people from all countries will be found somewhere, in places like country towns ... far away from city base u will not find so many "other" people.. may it be white people a rare in these places in india and say indian people a rare in these places in poland.... etc...


but eh... I luv city life... u will never find me on a farm... and I luv cultures so u will find me looking to mix my gene line up even more hahaha!

I come to places like poland to escape all of the multicultural problems I face daily in London.

It's refreshing to go to a country and not have to worry about getting mugged or beaten up for being white.

Polish people are so much more friendlier. I plan to move there one day but for now i just visit when i can.

unfortunately you are very mistaken, the money you earn in Poland and central europe goes less distance than the money you earn in the west, eastern european money is even worse.

The problem is wages relative to the cost of living.
The reason we have so many Poles in Ireland (my wife is polish) is because the wages people earn in Poland are terrible compared to the cost of living (yes, even worse than Ireland!!) so if they come here and save money, when they go home they don't have to struggle.

Its the same with people going INTO poland, they are coming from even poorer countries which are outside of the European Union (internal members such as Lithuania or Latvia wouldn't bother go to Poland, they would come to Ireland or the UK because our borders are open [not if your romanian or bulgarian tho])

So for example, the wages relative to the cost of living in Croatia or Belarus are even worse than in Poland, so it makes sense for people to migrate for a short time.


To put it in perspective for you, the EXACT same thing has been happening with Ireland for the last 150-250 years!!
People leave Ireland and goto the United States, Australia or the UK.

They've been coming home for the last few years because we have an enconomic boom and are one of the richest countries in the world, thanks in part to the polish people who work very hard for less money than an Irish person would work for and do lots of the jobs that Irish people won't do.

In essence, the further west you go, the richer the territory, in the northern hemisphere that is.

I wont argue on that... he is too right about that!

However, I think the further the east we go, there is more of a spiritually rich territory. Also, in an exemplenary method... the sun rises in the east, and sets in the west.... west is materially rich...while east is more spiritually rich!

Just a short holiday out of interest. I don't know that much about Poland, but I've been working with a lot of people from Poland, heard a lot of things, bad things, good things, so they've sparked my interest.

It's a beautiful country compared to Holland, everything is so flat here. Poland has a lot of mountains and forest. Beautiful nature really.

A few points..

Poland is a 2nd world country. Most Poles (and economists) acknowledge that a large proportion of their fiscal performance deficit when compared to other nations in Europe is down to external forces and yet at the same time fail to see that forces of at least equivalent negative magnitude have in the main contributed to Africas current state.

IQ follows a normal distribution and there are members of all races at all points in the curve. Even if you assume a low IQ of one SD for blacks that still means that at least 30 percent of Blacks are more intelligent than the average white person. The irony is that those who fail to understand this basic fact are more likely than not to mentally deficient themselves. Please also note that as we are talking about distributions here there are a significant number of Whites (hundreds of millions drawn from ALL NATIONS) who are less intelligent than the avg. Black person.

If I, as a Black person who studied at Oxford, and UCL and earn several hundred thousand dollars per annum move to Poland my economic and intellectual profile will place me within the top few percentile within the country. Please note the position of Poland's universities within the global rankings. There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of non-whites globally who attend and achieve sterling results are many of the institutions that rank far above their Polish equivalents. many of the best Universities in London have significant non-white populations.

The racists Poles on this board seek to claim reflected glory based on the inference that they (being as they claim "White" [although many Anglo-Saxons/Teutons would disagree]) are the "same" as the great minds of the past. This is obviously not true. The question these individuals should ask themselves rather is what have they invented, what do they themselves know, how intelligent or capable are they truly? As in all things the result of their mindset will (invariably) be lack of progression and/or advancement. The world is passing you by. Wake up to it before you are forced to by that all pervasive experience that we all share called reality. We all know the state of Poland. That is the reality. There are some Rich Poles. There are some intelligent Poles. But many are poor and ignorant. I seek not to suggest which group any one individual belongs to BUT ultimately they know. You would do better to use your energies to change your life and the system that has enslaved the majority. This is not a rehearsal.

Nonsense.Blacks have an average IQ of 80 or even lower.Poles stand at 106.
This means that only about 10% of blacks have a higher IQ than 106,that is the average Pole.
It also means that the average black has borderline IQ.About 25% of them have IQ below 69,which is the limit for mental retardation.

Every comparison between blacks and whites in IQ is in favour of the latter.
If Poles and blacks competed for the same places in university,the Poles would gain about 90% while the blacks only 10%.
If Poles competed with english(who have an average IQ of 103),they would gain 55-60% of positions while the english the rest 40-45%.And in high rank universities the percentage of Poles would be higher.
Only some asian races have higher IQ than europeans and that is why the british complain that asian students take the best places in university(due to their better grades) and want the english state to protect them(eg raising the base of entrance for Asians).
On the opposite side,some colleges and universities accept blacks despite their lower scores because of equality policy.

New international standard - the SE (Southern Equivalent) - needs to be introduced. A simple ratio should suffice. 1.2 is 20% more intelligent than the baseline.
