Anyone feel like helping to translate a photography website?

My spoken Polish is passable, but my literacy has suffered terribly thanks to 27 years in Canada. I have a small website that I share my photography through, and I'd like to make it accessible to my friends and family w Polsce który nie znają angielski język.

Does anyone here enjoying translating so much that they'd spend 30-60 minutes helping me with this? If you're in either Vancouver or Krakow, I will gladly take you out for drinks. If you're elsewhere, then it's karma that's up for grabs. Cheers,

Lukasz

Cześć Nika - I'm in Vancouver at the moment, but I'll be in Krakow in a couple weeks. Are you a student, or do you work in Kraków?

Cześć Łukasz, how is it going?
I work in Kraków and Bzibzioh is in Vancouver, I believe, proudly representing Kraków there :)

Oh and Bzibzioh, thanks for replying. I'm hoping to eventually do all of it (not that there's really that much), but for now, I guess the buttons, introductory sentance on the homepage, the couple paragraphs on the photography page, and maybe even my bio? (Although I need to update it.) That's almost the whole site I suppose. What do you think? Too much maybe?

LP - you have some beautiful photos there... Mount Northover and all mountainous pics are just gorgeous. I enjoy the "Edmonton" with a lady and a child - looks very peaceful to me, and black & white photos are very stylish and in a strange way full of color...

I'd be glad to translate the website to Swedish if you want although it'd be pretty poinless I guess as most Swedes speak English quite well.

PS. "Fascism then and now" is very tasteless and revolting in my view but cheap populism has always been en vogue - whatever suits peoples' addiction to skewed hate I guess.

Thank you! So you're in Krakow in May? Would love to say "thanks" with beer, wine, coffee, etc.

And Nika - you work in Krakow? Do you see much live music? I remember a couple places near the rynek has great jazz - Piec Art and Harris Piano Bar come to mind. Maybe meet up there later this month?

Thanks - the Rockies are so easy to photograph. :)

I also appreciate your views on the "Fascism: Then and Now" caption. In no way had I meant to trivialize any aspect of Hitler's terror (including the 3 million ethnic Poles that were slaughtered), but merely to remind people that the crimes which were codified in international law directly as a result of Nuremburg (e.g. waging aggressive wars, collectively punishing civilian populations, etc.) are commited with impunity by the United States. Although the caption made reference to Bush II (and hence to Iraq), it is important to remember that Obama has quietly continued most of the Bush Doctrines, as well as commited war crimes that are wholly the responsibility of his own administration (e.g. the bombing of Pakistan).

To summarize, skysoulmate, all the hallmarks of fascism are amply represented in contemporary US foreign policy: aggression, a culture of militarism, endless arms proliferation, and the implicit threat of violence pervading every aspect of international diplomacy. Also, please bear in mind that my usage of the term "fascism" is not intended to reflect exclusively German policies, but also those of Imperial Japan under Tojo, and Italy under Il Duce (whom by comparison to his peers seemed decidedly enlightened).

Well I disagree with 99% of what you just said and I studied history and especially WWII history in Sweden where I grew up (born in Poland though).
Additionally since I'm still active in the Air National Guard here in the States (although now part time) and have been deployed twice (second time voluntarily) I guess I'm a Nazi Luftwaffe aviator. Oh well, we'll never come to an agreement here since our views are 180 degrees opposite of each other however I'm glad my Canadian pilot friends don't consider me a war criminal and my Commander-in-chief a Nazi lover.

Europeans and Canadians were wrong about Reagan, we'll see in 20 years who was right about Bush. My gut tells me the truth will lie somewhere inbetween. Don't feel like discussing this issue as america-hate is very en vogue nowadays so again, let's agree to disagree.

Your pictures are beautiful nevertheless (with one exception) and my offer of Swedish translation if you're ever interested stands.

Thanks for the kudos on the pictures and the offer of Swedish translation, but I think English and Polish will suffice for now.
