sorry, bad news - they're planning on murdering you in the shower and making it look like you slipped. They seem to think there's a hefty insurance policy. Your mother is in on it too. If that doesn't work then plan b is to slip you some poison jello.

JUST KIDDING! But I'll leave it for someone else to translate exactly.

summary: It reads (divorced of context) like (graduate?) student talk. There's some light flirting (of the kind that is common in Poland and generally meaningless).

the first person wants to borrow a book, they heard that the person they are writing to has resigned from their job, some small talk at the start and the end of the message but the main part of the message is that the first person would like a book or a small book or something like a small book.

the second person replies with more small talk, says that they are broke, all their money is gone, they are living on bread, they are not going to do philosophy, they don't have the book but they want the first person to send them a copy if they find it, they also ask if the first person has any information about more seminars..........

I am having some problems working out who is male and female, the first person is male but the 2nd person sometimes writes as male even though they are female
nie będę uprawiał filozofii
the second person who wrote the message may be someone else and not who you think it is,

Nothing serious as far as I can see but it looks like that you copied this message from someones phone or e mail etc.! :-(

This looks suspiciously like a private conversation - and not a very interesting one except for the obvious ;-)

Both messages are from a man to a woman.

There is some close familiarity here but not necessarily flirting.

it definitely is flirting and not a close familiarity (as the context of both of the messages shows)

Could be easily co-workers. I don't see flirting in messages, just something in end greetings.

yes - but it is still flirting - we don't know how the other side (the girl replied) so the flirting might be one way only

I think that when you are reading someone else's messages, even if you know the two people it is extremely difficult to judge a person's motivation for saying something or behaving in a particular way. Sure, sometimes messages between two poeple can be mis interpreted by the people themselves.

She may have wrote this knowing that Drew is reading her messages, will he fall for the trap? Maybe she would like to make him jealous so that he will pay more attention to her? Maybe she wants the guy asking for the book to help her in college so she is being nice to him by finishing the message with a nice sign off but she isn't interested in him at all. Maybe the guy who sent her the message likes her friend but needs to be close to her to get close to her friend. Maybe it is a mix of everything!

The whole message is meaningless really and of no value, it proves nothing.
