Both are good, however there's a grammar mistake in the first one. The last word should be 'brakowałam'. Both assume a woman is speaking.

JonnyM: however there's a grammar mistake in the first one. The last word should be 'brakowałam'. I know your intentions were nothing but good John, but correct form is 'brakowało mi'. (the speaking person is not the subject of the sentence but the object - from morphological point of view)

brakowało mi - the past tense
brakuje mi - the present tense

What JohnnyM suggested (brakowałam) would make a native speaker laugh so hard, unless a foreigner trying to learn the lingo :-)

I would prefer "Tęsknię za Tobą" which covers the present perfect tense in this particular case. The expression "brakowało mi, brakuje mi" is only technically correct but I'd wager, it's rarely used in romantic situations. I could use "brakowało mi" to an employee who had gone for a long vacation (while his/her skills were needed badly)

Eventually does not mean "ewentualnie" :-) You should have written "alternatively" or so. Otherwise thanks for support. My english sucks mostly too. But in actuality I am really impressed with those immigrants who try to learn our language and have stamina to instruct others!

That's why I decided to clarify a little.... but still, it's a charming attempt! And now further clarification: I would use "tęsknię za tobą" when speaking to addressee on the phone, writing an email etc - while he/she is AWAY I would use "tęskniłem za tobą" when talking directly (face to face, most likely) to a person who is NO LONGER AWAY (has returned) Cheers
