Hallo peeps....I have just bought myself a satnav system for my car , hoping that the instructions may have an English section...they don,t....!

I have pretty well figured out how to use it , and i do understand what the Polish lady is telling me about turning left and right etc...but in order to avoid the Moscow ring road while trying to drive to Szczecin it would be helpfull to have these words translated....thank you for your help....

Hope that helps. Is it true that in Poland, you need to pay monthly fees for your GPS?

Thanks mate...you are a superstar...hopefully i won,t get lost now.....I don,t know anything about monthly fees for the satnav....This one is a Navia nv431 , i bought it in Biendronka for 249 zloty , and it works right out of the box... I see on the carton that its made in China , and imported by Sigma team sp z o o of warsawa...It seems to work well enough , and has lots of info on it such as speed camrea,s station benzina , and over one million addresses.....It only covers Poland , but there is a cable to plug it into a computer , so maybe i can download other maps.....Once i get the hang of it i will put a report on the forum...thanks again...

How come this bit is in English then...?.... i thought it might have something to do with Piwo and intoxication....like showing where the nearest beer is....?

isn't there a possibility to switch it to English language? I had a few of these toys and all of them had such option in the settings..

Yes...i found the bit where you can change the language.....but changing it to English just changes to settings page to English...once you get past that its in Polish......Its more than possible i just have not figured it out properly yet , only had it a day.....At some point i shall get a Polish friend to have a poke at it....

That great...thanks.....i am learning Polish as i learn to use this thing , even if i can change the language to English perhaps its better to leave it in Polish...after all , i am living in Poland...!

Well, it's probably an easy way to learn some words, I always set my cell phone to the language I'm learning at the time..

Just an update on the satnav problems....I sent an email to the importers in warsawa last night in English , asking them if it was possible to get instructions in English...They replied very quickly to say that as the satnav was tailored for the Polish market there were no instructions in English ...However , they did tell me step by step how to change it all to English language on the satnav....I hear a lot of complaints from English people about poor service in Poland , so i just want to give a shout up for Sigmateam sp z o o of Warsawa who were very quick and helpfull when i had a problem with their product.....

Once i get the hang of the thing i shall change the Language back to Polish , can,t figure if the American voice is telling me to turn left or right when my Jeep is rumbling along a forest road , the Polish voice is much clearer and nicer.....I do kinda wish it would shout kurwa , dupek when i miss an instruction it gives me tho ....!
