can't you make a better copy? I bearly can make out the letters. 19th of October 1958(9?) Dear Uncle and Aunt* The rest is too much blured.I can't make out only single words. You must scan it with better quality. *Stryj is father's brother, Stryjenka is his wife (or contrary: father's sister and her husband)

"19 October, 1958

Dear Uncle and Aunt,

We are writing a short letter to you. Perhaps, you’ll
wonder whom it is from. It is from Mietek (Mitch), his wife and
our two children. Uncle, maybe you can remember me,
I was just a little boy the last time you came
to Wesolówka. My Dear Uncle, many people in Poland receive
letters from their family in America, and we also would like to learn something
about you. I often think that I have Uncle somewhere in the big world,
but I know nothing about him. Uncle, I wrote to you once, before getting married,
and invited you to the wedding, a wishful thinking because
I know it is very far. I was rather disappointed when you didn’t write
back, possibly, because you never got my letter. I hope you receive this one,
and please - write back. Dear Uncle and Aunt, we live in the Gdansk
district, and I work for a construction company. Our life is better now
than in the past, it's not like you remember it when you were in Poland.
Dear Uncle, I’m not going to write a lot because I don’t know if you
receive the letter. If you receive it and write back to me, then my second letter
will be longer. Dear Uncle and Aunt, please send us pictures of your family
and we’ll send our pictures in the next letter.

Warm greeting from your family in Poland."

(The letter is pretty chaotic with lots of grammar and orthographic errors. He writes some sentences in the first person, some plural, some in third... I mostly tried to convey the message) Hope it helps.

Thank you very much for translating the old letter I had of my parents, means very much. They both passed away on the same day in Dec. 2003, my mom from Leukemia and dad from a broken heart five hours later! I have one brother and we have never had the opportunity to learn much about our family or history. My parents did not share very much about life in Poland before they immigrated to the US in Dec. 1949. I have additional letters that I would like to have translated and wondered if you can offer suggestions, resources, etc. My husband was very thoughtful in sending you the one letter which I understand was difficult to read.

Any information you could provide to direct my on the right path would be very much appreciated. I am in the process of writing a book and would love to obtain additional information.

There are plenty of 'free' website translation available, but they are very inaccurate. Especially that the old letters (based on the one sample) contain misspelled words or words which are not commonly used today. It depends how important it is to you, how many letters you have and how much you're willing to spend. I searched for translating services and picked a couple of addresses. I wish I knew a professional translator personally to recommend, but i don't... Sometimes Polish Travel Agencies (in Chicago or in your state) may be affiliated with a professional translator. You may try to go that route. I found this AmerPol Travel Agency in MI:
