My father and I were helping clean out the basement of the Polish-American Catholic Church down the street and we came across a large wooden cross in the basement with the words:

Pamiatka Missyi.

written across the horizontal beam. The vertical beam has:

Odpra
Wionej
Przez
D___uitow
od
12 -19
Kwietnia
1903
Odnow-
ionej
od
10 - 18
Siernia
1907

The one word starting with a D is partially scratched off. There clearly are dates on it but I am unsure what exactly it was used for. Missyi seems to be an abbreviation for something because of the period on the end.

Pamiatka Missyi.- Mission Souvernir (although it means more In Rememberance of the Mission)

Odpra
Wionej
Przez
D___uitow
od
12 -19
Kwietnia

Conducted by (I would say the word is Jezuitów in today's language) Jesuites from 12-19 April...

Odnow-
ionej
od
10 - 18
Siernia

Conducted again from 10-18 August...

Someone else might be more precise in this translation.

That actually would make sense. The Parish typically had missions said by Jesuit Priests on occasion. Thanks for the help!

The language is a bit archaic. The letter Dż which is what it seems that is there is pronounced like the English J. Dżem means and sounds like the English Jam.

I am figuring it is a D, very well could be a J. It was stored in the rafters in the basement and rubbed off part of the lettering in that section.
