Some things are untranslatable especially if they are supposed to rhyme.
rest your head - połóż głowę ( which sounds a tad ridiculous in polish without a further explanation ) hence he put it as "połóż się - lie down".
"śnij" (dream) would be better than "śpij" (sleep)
Spokojny sen przynosi szczęśliwe dni!
Więc połóż się i śnij. ( So lie down and dream )
(That added so/"więc" makes the sentence sound more solid)
There might be another good variation, so maybe someone else will add something..
