Czesc,
This is my first time on a polish forum. Im learning polish a little each day and soon Il post a bit about myself. I was just wondering how I would say "I play guitar and bass" in Polish. Im trying to build up my vocabulary of things to say about myself.

if you are asked to help somebody,
at least use proper grammar structures, please.
if you say gram na gitarze i basie
that would suggest that you do that simultaneously
or that the name of the instrument is gitara i bas.

Jamie, just to let you know -
"bas" is a colloquial, spoken language, just like "bass".
the full name would be gitara basowa = bass guitar.
so the formal translation would be
gram na gitarze i/oraz na gitarze basowej.
you can use "bass" though.

Ah,thanks for the reply.
Can I just ask why "i na",or would you be able to give me a rough translation? I apologize my grammar is poor. Ive learnt a lot of nouns,verbs,phrases etc.... but not much grammar

because in English You play the guitar
and in Polish You play on the guitar = na gitarze .
when You use the verb "to play", you have to say na ( = on) in Polish
if it refers to an instrument.
You don't use na when talking about games (You should use in [ = w] instead :)
so
I play the guitar = gram na gitarze
I play football = gram w piłkę (nożną)
