Hi there guys...this is my first time on Polish forums...but I have read some of the threads and enjoyed some of the discussions and also some of the characters on here!!!!

Anyways...I need a little help from any of you fluent Polish speakers out there. My girlfriend is Polish (Im Irish) and I want to do something for her birthday that is personal. So I am having a plaque in the shape of Poland made out of oak, with a heart positioned on the map of the country located on the town where she was born and grew up before moving to Ireland. Here is where I need some help!!! I want to have "Home is where the heart is" carved into the plaque, but want to do it in Polish. :o) I know she'd love it, and she is an amazing girl...and very proud of her Polish roots. She treats me like a prince...so just want to show her she's my princess too!!! haha!! (yes I can hear all the screwball and derogatory "Polish Princess" remarks coming...but she honestly is.)

So I would be really really grateful if some of you fine people out there could help me with the translation of "Home is where the heart is" or if there is some other saying in Polish which is more appropriate either would be good.

thanks guys and dolls...:o)

haha...cheers adriokor...(I think..haha) Only kidding. Yeah well I will say a lot of what I find so lovely about her is down to her upbringing and a lot of the values she holds. She is traditional in some ways...but very open minded and inquisitive and has a very good sense of herself. Also she spends a lot of her time going out of her way for others. Most of all she isnt obsessed with all the complicated bullshit people surround themselves with...she likes to keep things simple...and is just a sweet girl. Can honestly say have never met anyone like her in my life before...and Im actually sorry to say...I wouldnt have a hope of meeting any Irish girls even remotely like her. The values just arent there, especially in girls over here Im sorry to say. Im a lucky guy, and I know it. :o)
