Polish translation IN PHONICS: Zycze Wam wszystkiego najlepszego ...

I will be giving a toast at a wedding in September. Bride is Greek and Groom is Polish. I would like to say: Zycze Wam wszystkiego najlepszego na nowej drodze zycia, but need to have it written down in phonics in the englishlanguage as I cannot speak Polish. Can anyone put this phrase in englishphonics for me??? I know it means: I wishyou all the best on your new road through life, but I do not know how to pronounce the words in Polish.

Whoa!! Even with Vodka, and alot of it I'm still not sure of the translation, but I'm gonna give it a try. There are alot of relatives on the Grooms side coming from Poland and as the Father of the Bride I would like to "maybe" say something they will understand. I am American and if I could get the phonics in English (kind of) it would be greatly appreciated!

What do you mean exactly by phonics? There are two phonetic renditions (posts #2 and #3). Do you mean the International Phonetic Alphabet? If so, you would find a number of symbols specific to Polish that wouldn't give any clue to their pronounciation. If you mean the English phonemic alphabet, that wouldn't be ideal either - thought I've rendered it below.

The term 'phonics' in my country (the UK) usually means a controversial teaching aid for very young children - that wouldn't help either.

Do you mean this: /ʒɪtʃe vʌm fʃɪstkiːegəʊ naɪlepʃegəʊ nʌ nɒveɪ drɒdze ʒɪtʃiːʌ/
Remember the stress is on the penultimate syllable of each word.

Something like: "Thank you" in polish is: dzienkuje but you pronounce it: (jenn-koo-yeh). I think I will need the (jenn-koo-jeh) translation in order to say the words correctly. Does any of this make sense???

Jamms - the best thing to do would be to ask someone at the wedding for help with your pronunciation. What we type and how you pronounce it might be, and in all probability are, two very different things.
