Still looking. Several years ago I received some documents from Poland. ie. birth and death certificates. On one such document they listed a relative (in English) as a carpenter and copy holder. Please somebody tell me what a copy holder is Thanks Bill

at a guess... he held the deeds to some land or property. probably his own house.
