Hello,

Can anybody tell me if the word Prawoslawna means something else besides Orthodox?

Russia is not the only one traditionally Orthodox Christian country, and there are Orthodox Christians in many countries.

Prawosławny/a is an adjective meaning 'of Orthodox Christianity'. It can be used to describe for example a person of this faith or a Church. 'Orthodox' in any other meanings is 'ortodoksyjny'. For example 'an orthodox Jew' would be 'ortodoksyjny Żyd', 'orthodox law' would be 'ortodoksyjne prawo'.

There are many meanings for sure.
Can't you go to the library and look for it in religious dictionary, in other book or just in Encyklopedia?
I don't remember what it means but just look for it if you are interested in the subject or if you need it for other reasons.
