Could anyone tell me if an expression 'x remembers y' may also carry a meaning: 'x bears resemblance to y'?

Thank you in advance

x przypomina y (x similar to y) is different to x przypomina sobie y (x remembers y) (there is a some difference in meaning and usage of 'przypominać sobie' and 'pamiętać')

przypomnieć komu¶ o czym¶ - means to remind someone about something

The context is rather genetics, not math.

given the context I would say that in this case you have to do with 'x przypomina y' = 'x bears resemblance to y
'

Great! Someone is really skillful then! That's the meaning I want.

Thank you
