So, I'm second-generation American with a Polish family. All my life they have been saying something akin to "srać your spodnie", which to us has always meant "Poop your pants". Took a bit of research to find the word "srać", and I'm pretty sure srać your spodnie is not a real Polish phrase, but rather a mix of Polish and English. What is the real phrase I would use for this? Does anyone in Poland actually say this phrase or is it something made-up by my family?

Thank you in advance!

Yeah, it is a mix of pol/eng, in your case. But in actuality you could nowadays say: "Tak się przestraszył, że zesrał się w spodnie" (or simply: zesrał się) i.e. He got so scared that he pooped in his pants.

I think its a natural Polish-American thing for phrases like that to evolve in families. My family has a few, like "half na pół" for half and half. Also, uppity women(Hyacinth Bucket types) were always referred to as "lady-babas".

There may be a few e.g.:

Nasrać w spodnie.
Zesrać się w spodnie.
Obsrać spodnie.

etc.

I've heard 'srać w portkach' a few times.

Srać w portki. (portki=spodnie)
Srać is just the imperfective version of the word whose perfective forms are 'nasrać', 'obsrać' etc.
