i am stuggling a little bit in trying to correct word for various occupations like;

praca = work
what is the ending that will say 'worker'
to sew = szyć, what is the word for a sewer( someone who sew garments for example).
to teach is uczyć what is teacher

the comparative is often szy or iej, like lepiej = better, but that doesnt work with occupations.
any help will be appriciated.

thanks

pracownik

szwaczka (I believe that male version is szwacz but in practise never heard about someone being a szwacz)

nauczyciel

no, mostly the occupation names have -arz or -erz ending. But of counrse not always as you see above.

marynarz, lekarz, dekarz, murarz, żołnierz, kominiarz.

Comperatives don't have anything to do with occupations. Also in English it's a coincidence that comperative form is the same as suffix of occupations.
