"Without the dark, we would never see the stars" - tattoo translation

I need some help with translating a phrase into Polish needed for a tattoo, so it has to be pretty accurate so can't use an online translator. The phrase is "Without the dark, we would never see the stars". I did find the translation of "Bez ciemności nigdy nie zobaczylibyśmy gwiazd". Don't know if thats correct? Any help with it would be very appreciated! :) Thank you!

what about 'gdyby nie ciemność, nie zobaczylibyśmy gwiazd' Yeah that works too,but I think "Bez ciemności nigdy nie zobaczylibyśmy gwiazd" sounds "smoother".Personally for a tatoo I would also drop "nigdy". http://youtu.be/zbfYkiHY_A8
