The eternal question, that only answers itself after you've joined. All that stuff about getting off speeding tickets etc is nonsense - the benefits are very hard to describe.

A lot to do with self-development.

so it's blind faith? hmmm

all cops here are masons so the ticket thing is kind of true.

U can't be atheist and join! No we do not worship the devil lol. If they believe that they r just misinformed and ignorant. Recently at a polish mass the priest told every1 there including my GF that the masons bombed a church! I WANT TO SUE HIS ASS! This made me lose just about all respect for the church. Spreading lies to instill hate in the masses? WTF He should b castrated!

I feel compelled to enter the discussion as a very Proud Freemason. I must first say that I am from Ogden, Utah in the United States and can only speek from my own experiences with Freemasonry. . .
That being said... all the basic answers to all posts can be found at goldenspikelodge.org or through direct correspondance... I can also say that "the Ticket thing" ... if it is found to be true... Those Brothers would not be thought highly of at all... Freemasonry can never come into conflict with YOUR God, Country, Neighbor, Family or Yourself... and part of who you are is what you do for a living... Your Usual Vocation... If that type of favortism is being shown not only is it a ethical violation but a moral violation which would come into conflict with and jepordize both Job and Membership.... Freemasonry teaches High Morals through Higher Values... To allow one person to be favored over another... is low and base in value and contradictory to the moral lessons of Freemasonry. Both the recipient as well as the Officer would be ousted for Conduct unbecoming a Mason... At least this is what we teach in Utah... as well as it should be the Universal Lesson everywhere.

Well so you are telling me u wouldn't favor a lodge brother over a disgruntled spiteful catholic? Come on lets be realistic here! Every1 discriminates and every1 favors some over others. It's just the way of the world. U would much rather be around a lodge brother than some insane catholic telling you that you are a satan worshipper! I have seen some brothers do some stupid things yet none of them have been kicked out. I am in Cali though maybe you are more orthodox over in Utah.

If u want a club with big benefits join the Bohemian Club. It's almost impossible to get into though. My dad has been trying for YEARS. Even though he is a lobbyist they still don't think he is worthy. It is based out of SF and if any society is plotting a NWO it is the Bohemian Club. U need to b a man of power with $ and the ability to keep secrets if u want in on the Bohemian club.
