Ah yes thanks Michal. Cheers for the info. I do want to meet expats when I finally settle in Polska, though my intention is integration, integration.
I'm a little wary of the whole expat teacher scene. I'm sure there are many cool teachers, but I suspect there are also some very odd types that teach, and these people I wanna stay clear of. We shall see. I intend to go to support Arka Gdynia football club, there I can mix with other er.."local sports enthusiasts".
I also wanna take up golf so that I can meet buisness people as well.
Need a balance y'know.

BubbaWoo, tell me, have you been there recently? Is it still in business? I always remember that I spent a week in Sopot and that I thoroughly enjoyed my short evening walks to the little bar. The Scotsman who ran the bar was a very nice man who fell in to that line of work after arriving in Poland as a teacher of English. Unfortunately, I did not take a phone number or keep in contact but we make contacts all the time with so many people when travelling. What a shame though.

Well I may do some teaching, however, this is kinda plan B, C, for that matter.
I'm a security contracter so my plan is to base myself in Polska and then go off on a few contracts everyyear, where ever. I'm also intending explore some buisness idea's out there. And of course there is always the property game. Probably a combination of all of these things. To put food on the table. What I'm really keen to do is also to not actually work as much, infact thats a major reason for heading here. Continue learning Polish, fancy taking up golf or windsurfing. Hobbies.

There is a school in Guildford but I am not at it though I do know where it is. It is located in Artington near Guildford.

Strange , I never thought I'd be that interested In meeting back up with some English people this soon!! No offence guys but you know the average Brit I am talking about

You could try the University of Gdansk, they have an English Language Faculty at Oliwa, there is a small train, which runs through Oliwa from Gdansk Glowny. Teachers are probably the most common group but often they are selfish as they love to make lots of money. Teachers are rarely interested in other people-more interested in making money but it might be a start. As I have said, there is a club/pub in Sopot, where sometimes the British hang out. I know that there are a lot of Americans in Prague but from my knowledge, Poland is not big on ex-pats of any nationality in any large city in Poland. It could all be changing though-my days of travel to Poland are long over and places change.

You might also try the British Embassy in Warsaw, if you ever go there. I have heard that there is a club in the building which the general public can use. It might be open only a few days a week but who knows...

Opening hours seemed to be quite random. If I recall correctly it was nicknamed the Pink Lady. But there are far better ex pat meet up places where there are no diplomats around
