Banaszak - help contacting possible relatives in Poland

Thanks to the "geneology.com" website I was able to locate the area in Poland where my father and all my paternal grandparents were born, sure to miss the interaction with that site. What I am trying to do is to see if I can get someone to make phone calls in Poland for me to see if I have any distant relatives living there. My father came to the US through Ellis Island in December of 1910 with my grandmother. My grandfather, Marceli Banaszak had arrived in the spring of 1910. With the help of familysearch.org I was able to determine that all my paternal grandparents were born and or raised in Piotrowo, Poznan, Poland. Piotrowo is around 128 miles west of Warsaw, 5 miles east southeast of Slupca and around 11 miles west of Konin. It appears on google earth as a street of around 13 or so farms. Because of some previous help I was told that there are no families named Banaszak in Piotrowo but there were 5 or more Banaszak's in Slupca. I don't know about Konin.

I don't speak Polish and really don't have any way of making a phone call to Poland yet be able to carry on a conversation. I'm hoping that because Piotrowo is such a small town that if any Banaszak's living nearby have relatives that grew up in that town that they would have to be related to me somehow. Being able to contact someone via email of course would be the best outcome but even a name and mailing address would work.

From previous inquiries I've been told that the phone number information contain the name and phone number but not the address because of Polish law.

If anyone can help me please let me know. I would be willing to call anyone anywhere in the US in exchange for the help.

If I'm not mistaken, the Piotrowo is a part of the Poznań city. At least it states like that in the wiki page:
pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piotrowo_(Poznań,_Rataje)

I checked also 'Polish Facebook' - Nasza Klasa (nk.pl) and there's a lot of Banaszak's in the Poznań, and some in Słupca too. You may of course look at the FB yet.

Unfortunately I can't read a word of that wiki page link you posted and don't have a clue as to where Poznan city is but I do know where the Piotrowo is located that my paternal grandparents came from and it's between Slupca and Konin like I mentioned. My grandmother Stanislawa Szymanski was born in Waclawow which is like 3/4 of a mile from Piotrowo. Familysearch.org records show my grandfather Marcel Banaszak being married in Ladek, which is around 2.5 miles southwest of Piotrowo.

Looker, thanks for your response.

Piotrowo, Poznan, Poland

Check the maps.google.com

Poznań is the largest city from all locations you mentioned, and that's why I am talking about it.
I'll give you some translation from the wiki page I provided you above:

Piotrowo - part of Poznan, local government settlement Rataje, between Swiety Roch in the south and Berdychow on the north, by the street of the same name, near the Rondo Rataje. There is located the largest Campus of Poznan University of Technology [...]

Piotrowo was formerly a ducal village, and in 1253 (location on the left bank of Poznan) was given to the city, as the economic base. In 1602 Piotrowo received town rights and in 1896 was incorporated into Poznań.

In the period of 1954-1990 Piotrowo belonged to the Nowe Miasto area, and in the years 1996-2010 to the Rataje nad Warta settlement

There is more than one Piotrowo in Poland. The one between Słupca and Konin is actually 75km away from Poznań.

And that is the Piotrowo that I am talking about, thank you Chemikiem. The villages that are referenced in my ancestors documentation are all around this particular Piotrowo. Towns like Waclawow, Ladek, Dolany and Kowalewo.

Looker, I appreciate your comments but I guess I don't understand why your posts seem to insist that the Piotrowo I am referring to is incorrect or maybe I'm misinterpreting what your trying to tell me.

It's just this what you wrote:

born and or raised in Piotrowo, Poznan, Poland

And it clearly suggested for me that it may be that Piotrowo near Poznan. If it's not, then sorry.

I think that I would be able to help you with your investigation and research in Poland.

I am a lawyer based in Poland, so this is something which we could do.

If you are still interested, send me a private message on the forum and we shall proceed with your case.

kikikiki thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping to possibly get in touch with someone that may live in a nearby town from Piotrowo like Slupca, Konin or Ladek that could just look my surname up in the phone book and call but I've not had any responses. Do you know of another polish forum that I could pose the same question in?
