Hi everyone. I'm revisiting some research I carried out for a book a couple of years ago, now that there are more resources online.
I am trying to work out what this place "Krasseminsk" is called today and where exactly it is. This information comes from a 1903 translation of Polish or Russian language documents, written in 1880, and the originals are lost.
The document mentions "the teacher of the Krasseminsk rural public primary school..." and later calls it "Krasseminsk School" and is signed "Merkish, teacher, village of Krassenin".
I don't quite understand the difference, if any, between Krasseminsk and Krassenin. I have assumed that "Krassenin" is "Krasienin" near Lublin, but I am now having second thoughts.
If anyone can help, I'd be most grateful.
