You know I am too lazy? How do you know?

sorry pane brate, maybe you aren`t. i didn`t want to insult you. OK? or you want now to insist on this? He, he

Oh, I know about Madelaine Albright.

sure, its old story

She is a despicable woman.

really, nothing womanly there

If she has natural red hair then she should permanently dye it.

would you suggest same to the Wesley Clark?

Red hair did not originate in scotland or ireland it was brought over by the vikings.

Yep, and when there were blondes roaming the shores of what is today know as Poland, Scandinavia was a wasteland.

My grandparents came from Mokra Wies and Przyszowa and both of them had red auburn hair. Both their sons had it as did their grandchildren, including me. There has to be something to this OP's question as it has proven true with my family.

"red hair is not normal"

probably not for a small town in Alabama with a population of 300.

But I think you are on the wrong website, this is about poland, I think you need to go to hairdressers/ barbers weekly .

Merged: Could I, a Polish Ginger, be descended from Scottish settlers

Hi just curious, read a couple topics indicating that red-heads in Poland are descended from Scots and Vikings. Just want to clarify, that the origins of my ancestors are unknown.

Any other info? One thing that I would like to add is that my grandfather looked Scottish.

Interesting article on Polish genetics states that Poles do indeed have red hair. Polish genetics link significantly to Scottish & Frisian genes - which is where it's likely to come from. Combine that with your known Scottish side, & viola'! A redheaded kid! I've also noticed that poles who are redheads often have a deeper hair color than your classic Irish-Scot who is usually bright-haired. So you seem to express more Polish, by your description.

Slavs have light hair by nature, and only 10% of Irishpersons (similar to Scots) have red hair in their genes. Jews and others brought the dark (including red) hair to Poland.

Slavs have light hair by nature

Some certainly do, however the Slavic world covers a wide area and some Slavs are dark, Some are redheads (and that may show Ashkenazi, Celtic or Viking blood.

Jews and others brought the dark (including red) hair to Poland.

I think that's an important part of the story, Nicki, but only part of the story.

Indigenously, though, Slavs were light haired and light eyed. Then came in the, e.g., Jews, Tartars, Celts, Vikings, etc.. BTW, some Jews had light eyes prior to coming to Europe:
