I'm not sure if that's right. Serbs are supposedly the tallest people on earth. The Dutch are second.

Those can't be correct. No way the USA average height is 5 '10'. It's 5 '8' or 5 '9'

It depends on the sample they took. If it was primarily white and black Americans they looked at, then 5'10 seems pretty accurate.

Well if we're using Wikipedia to judge Serbia, I guess we'll use Wikipedia to judge Poland. Says 1 inch difference in Poland than Serbia.

Unless you are going from Europe to Asia, or Europe to South America. I don't think you'll notice much of a difference although I have been told Dutch are the tallest Euros

On average, I would say so. As they have a large degree of Germanic background, Poles tend to be taller than, say, most French, Spaniards or Italians, but often somewhat shorter than the majority of Scandinavians:-)

That's not the reason of Polish people's height, ethnic Slavs were taller than average.

Come on! A lof of Poles are small too, especially among the older generations and it is very common to find men aged 60 onwards who are even shorter than 1.60 m. Just live in Poland and look around!

@In-Polska, that may also be due to a vitamin deficiency, of which there was considerable, especially during and immediately after the war:-)

Don't forget about the Napoleonic wars, there was much interbreeding in Poland at the time, thus some poles are shorter than the norm. ( Inpolska this is sarcasm).

I don't think you can consider any race to have pure untouched DNA, to make true comparisons or assumptions. Therefore there will always be people of different height and eye color,

Darwinian theory and all that.

Just a note a short female fighter Pilot can pull more G than her male equivalent Size does not matter anymore.

But they are still taller than average man around the world aged 60, use your brain instead of exclamation marks.

I agree here, Wulkan. Many Polish males have a larger body frame than many other Europeans, except perhaps for Germans:-)
