Aren't you two off topic

It was a silly question. Let's have more silly answers.

Perhaps a better question would be:'How many Polish people are ginger?'There are supposed to be a lot of redheads in Ireland, and also in the Udmurtia, a small republic in Russia.I've known German and French gingers, and a Finnish girl who may have been a bit ginger.

Well, start a new thread then.........lol...... cos this one is getting confusing now it is getting off topic and I am quite interested in the posts on this thread which is suposed to be about

'Are all poles blue eyed and blonde???'

I thought the idea that ALL Poles have blonde hair and blue eyes seemed a bit much.
I'll start a new one as soon as I can be bothered.

A bit much yes ;)

If ALL Poles are like this, so it's the same for Germans, as there are approximately the same percentage of population with blond hair.

But the country with the most blonds is Finland : 3 persons out of 4 (75%) are blond ;)
Scandinavian countries are just below that i think.
Then comes Poland and Germany with some other countries.

But the thread is a question is it not ? It asks 'Are all poles blue eyed and blonde???'

And it's off some interest to Polish people, I can't see anything wrong with the thread question.

I've never heard that before. Wonder if anyone else has ?

I'm not sure if red hair is that common in Polish people so would be interesting to know that.

red hair

We now have the correct place to discuss these matters.

http://www.polishforums.com/redheads_poland_many-4_14952_0.html

The answer to the original question can be settled by my answer:
My old mate Daerk does not have blond hair.
Neither was it blond before it went grey.

So it would appear that not all Poles are blond and blue eyed then.....a very small minority it would seem are maybe red headed ?

Aha, blond people are not that common. It's a kind of stereotype. I am myself blond, but almost noone else in my family is.

I was born with blond hair and blue eyes but my hair colour turned light brown when I was about 12 or 13 lol..........it's got some blond bits in it now but that's not all natural <g> My sister had brown hair........and blue eyes.

I never saw anyone Polish with red hair apart from the actress Rula Lenska.

Ok ;) But it doesn't mean every Poles are blond and blue-eyed. There are some but not "all".

For my part, i am blond, with green/grey/blue eyes, but i'm the only blond of my family (i'm half French and half Polish). My sister has light brown hair though... ;)
al hamra  Oct 21, 07, 19:43    #196

My grandparents both immigrated from Ireland and Poland (both were polish) but unfortunately I've never met anyone on that side of the family. I have light brown hair and hazel eyes. I also have very almond shaped eyes and high cheekbones, so many times people ask me if I am Eurasian , are almond shaped eyes also common? Also I am very tall over 6 feet are there a lot of tall women in Poland?

There is a saying in Polish:

Rudy to falszywy or Rude to falszywe (the second one has an added hint of malice on the part of the speaker). It means "the red haired ones are dishonest".
