Bozena, Stefan, Agnieszka, Magdalena Nowak - Adopted in 1989 - looking for family members

Hello, this might be strange but my sister and I were adopted in 1989 by two Americans (no complains) however it would be nice to get in touch with some original family members. I was 12 at the time- Agnieszka and my sister 5- Madgalena. Our original name was Nowak. Our birth parents were Bozena and Stefan Nowak. Mother died in 1989 and that is mostly why we were adopted. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Any idea where you were from? If you were 12 you must remember the address or at least the town. What about your father? Is he still alive? What adoption agency did you go through? All these things may be helpful, esp. with a name like Nowak used by 200,000 people all over Poland.

It was in Warsaw. The father was not involved and yes he is / was still somewhere involved. Since the adoption took place prior to 1989 and the fall of communism there were to adoption agencies that helped... it was done very privately.
