You might be, you might not. Contact the Polish consulate nearest to where you live and ask them.

Because you joke around with Jewish issues and that sort is not wanted here. I'm guessing Greg had that in mind.

Hopefully not.

why?

what do you actually need a Polish passport for - aren't you a citizen of the UK?

ask all those British people here who live in Poland if they have or care to have a Polish passport

A British passport opens more doors. My life doesn't suffer by not having a Polish passport.

I'm not denying that your family has Polish connections at all, Somerset. Where did I say that?

I take anti-Semite as a personal attack and an insult. Therefore, I expect the Mods to treat it accordingly. You can't just go doing that, esp in such a sensitive place as a Polish forum, Somerset. The rules are there to be interpreted and I'm sure the Mods will do that.

So when are you going to start cracking down on the continued anti-Seanusism as well as the anti-Semitism, mods? This hate campaign has gone on long enough imo.

As pointed out this thread is about a Polish passport. I can also confirm that several members, are one step away from a months suspension and two steps away from a years suspension

Post 3 gave him his answer nicely. I'd go with that advice.

Job done, why are you on Polishforum asking silly questions. You know your rights, I wonder how that attitude will wash at the consulate though. You will need plenty of documentation to support your case for a Polish Passport.

for me this is a strange case - maybe a symptom of a phenomenon - why would a British Jew want a Polish passport? - for what's sake? - my suspicion is monetary issues are hoped to be involved

It's obvious what he's up to. He probably knew the answer before he started the thread anyway, but also knew that it could easily degenerate into a Seanus-bashing session again, or turn into a thread where everyone could start arguing about Jewish Poles, etc. Trolling, basically.

He's got his answer, so let's hope that's the end of it.

No I wasn't sure If I was entiled to it, you're right I don't really need it but I wasn't sure if it was just from parent to child or if a Polish grandparent is enough.

I just wanted to know out of curiosity

btw how many poles over here since 2004 have taken out British passports?

How are people here supposed to know that? Can't you consult an official statistics office?

You have your answer to your question.

It is only parent to child. So before you can get Polish citizenship, one of your parents will have to get their Polish citizenship.
