last name trojanowski?

Does anyone have any insight on the last name trojanowski I was born in poland in białystok but grew up &
Was raised in Chicago, I was told that it was not originally a polish last name I have family in kleszczele (sp?) I tried to find out information on my own buy I failed. My fathers family bearing that last name are eastern orthodox and my grandfather is believed to have Belarusian roots & possibly Russian or Ukrainian as well I hope that information is helpful....

TROJANOWSKI: root-word Trojan (initially an inhabitant of ancient Troy); here most likely the name started out as a toponymic nickname from Trojanów (Trojanville) or similar. Numerouis such loclaities in Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, etc.

Thank u .... Another question for u ... I want to learn the history of my family how do u think I should do that,is there any website that have information on ppl still in poland?
