Polish family, Palka

I am planning a trip to Poland in September of this year. I understand that my mother's family was from Rozgov near Poznan -- and that I still have a few cousins there -- one of them is named Miroslaw Worblewski. Does anyone know this family name?

It must be Wróblewski, as the Worblewski surname does not exist in Poland. Wróblewski is a very popular surname in Poland, and the Poznań region (Wielkopolska) is one of its main strongholds. A number of coats of arms accompany it. There are 4 times fewer Pałkas but it is also quite common. Pałka is a typical peasant name unaccompanied by heraldic devices.

I know this post is old but my maiden name is Palko. It used to be Palka but it was changed when my ancestors came to America. I have no history of this side of the family other than this bit of information. This is from my fathers side of the family.

Also, my great-grandmothers maiden name was Wrublewski on my mothers side of the family.

Weird to see both names in one post!
