YES, TRUE POLISH ARE DARK HAIRED AND DARK EYED......THE REST ARE JUST MIXED DUE TO THE INTERVENTION OF THE GERMANS AND RUSSIANS

[Suspended]

Er, hate to break it to you, but if you're looking at things that far back, there is no such thing as a "True" Pole. Human life on Earth did not begin in Poland, therefore it is not possible to be a "True" Pole by your definition. Most experts believe life began in Africa, and you can clarify that by running a quick search. I'm curious as to where YOU got your information on what "true" Poles look like.

I dated a Polish woman from New Jersey 2003-2004 while in my late Forties, she was somewhat older than I, but in great shape. I was living in New Orleans at the time. I believe she turned 60 on her last birthday, I am now 53. She was one of the most beautiful women I ever saw, a natural blonde with thick but baby-fine hair, and very light, bright blue eyes. As many have pointed out, she had exquisitely high cheek bones and her eyes were very deeply set. A looker all the way around, but also, a sweeter personality one could not ask for. I am very often sorry I let that one get away.

I am almost 100% polish...but with however my genes mixed with the little bit of irish in me, I ended up with red hair and navy eyes. At work and school I get asked what nationality I am, because I do not look like my friends and, although most will say that Americans don't have a "look", I look very different than many other people who can trace their family lines to America.

The navy must mean a very dark blue.

My mother had robin's egg blue eyes and while I called my own blue, they were much darker. I've come to learn that my color is widespread throughout central and eastern Europe. They can look dark blue, aqua or grey depending what I am wearing.

What's funny is that my dad has black hair and blue eyes, my mother is blonde with blue eyes, and I came out blonde with blue eyes.

I thought the 'darker' genes were more dominant...thought I would have black or at least dark brown hair...the blue eyes must have been dominant throughout, because finding a person with jet black hair and blue eyes is not all that common.

I have green eyes and dark blonde/light brown hair...but it seems like everyone else in my family has hair on the darker side. Perhaps that will be my fate later in life. I don't think anyone in my family has brown eyes!

this is all so interesting... my mother's father was polish (Rydzewski) but i am always told i look Greek or Mediterranean. I have dark brown hair, hazel/ green eyes and dark olive skin tone...my fathers family is German and with the last name Vogel everyone is confused. Now i am married to a Garcia and everyone assumes i am mexican...;)

When you go to Chicago, you can almost always spot a Polish person, by the way they dress, look and walk.

Hehe, it's true for the most part. I lived there for nearly 20 years and I can usually spot a Polish person before I even hear them talking =]

I am 3rd generation Polish, and when I introduce myself to new people they ask, so when did you come to America? and what country are you from? Even close friends would swear that I am Russian, and where I work even foreign exchange students think I am one of them!

Hehe, the international students here sometimes think I'm one of them too, but the Americans all know better. ;)

I don't like US boys...

lol, me neither. That's why I got me a nice Hungarian. =D Polak, Wegier, dwa bratanki... ;)

So, what is a Hungarian-shaped face?

round.

Polish looks are fairly distinctive but some just don't match the bill. Hungarian, nice, tell him that his country's goulash is legendary. I had goulash soup with added paprika yesterday and some dish with sausage and beans just 10 mins ago (lencsefozelek kolbasszal). The Magyars are very curious people.

I don't think you look particularly Polish. And not because you have fake hair, some Polish girls like it as well. I'd say you're American but it's a pure guess.

I am Polish and mixed with a lot of other nationalities but have been repeatedly told I have Eastern European look. My grandfather was 100% Polish and I would like to know if I look Polish? I have heard different things. My great-great grandfather was from Ostroleka, Poland.

she sorta does have a point, i bet you look just as good without all that junk on your face, as for where you look like you come from. I have to agree that you do look more American than Polski.

Well i would agree with the majority of people who have told you that you look 'eastern european' i would not say anything about you looks specifically Polish. Bit of a gambler are we :):):):):)???
