When you go to Chicago, you can almost always spot a Polish person, by the way they dress, look and walk. The men have high foreheads, wear leather jackets and when they walk they move their hands really fast like they're nervous, and they wobble from side to side with a cigarette in the lips.
The women have short, purple hair, some wear too much make-up and usually wear high-heals and long coats and some even wear a czapeczka on their head.

Loved Krysia's description of wobbly polish men. You'll have capture that on video or something.

I'm half polish on my mothers side and I've been told many many times now that I look polish, but I don't understand why. I'm just curious what it is about my features that makes me look so polish. I'd post a picture, but I don't know how.

Quite possibly, though I think the girl in the centre looks more Polish. :)

If I had to guess ethnic groups of those ladies, I'd probably say (from left to right) Jamaican or Trinidadian, Italian, Polish, Greek, Jewish.

i'm thinking centre as well-wider face, higher forehead, piercing eyes. but that's mainly because the other possible candidates have a ton of makeup and have relatively narrow faces.

polski_zyd made as good a guess as anyone could

Ghee, I thought it was the one to the far left! Hm...

Anyway, I noticed actually that here in Dublin most of the Polish girls are gorgeous, whereas the guys, exceptions aside, all look the same: not really attractive to say the least. And still all those gorgeous's seem to love these dudes...

M-G (not meaning to offend anybody, just making observations here)

Should be quite easy to work out which one you are . Did you not give a very detailed description of yourself (see below).

Yes, just like me. Thank you kindly ;)

Is that what it really stands for ? I didn't know.

Kazia is short for Kazimiera, the female version of the name Kazimierz.

Not in Poland it is not. Kazia is short for another Polish Christian name. Some may say Kasia but mine is Kazia ;)
