For over 28 years, I have been separated from my Polish relatives and our intriguing heritage. I am hoping that we can reconnect. I was born Susan Magda Nawrocka on Long Island, New York 01/20/1982. Birthmother would have been born 1956 or 1957. she was polish/catholic and had another child 5 years before me but I am not sure if this child was adopted or if they lived with her. my mother kept me for the first six months of my life and that I have an older sibling. I know you loved me. Please don’t feel shame for wanting me to have something more that you couldn’t provide at the time. I’ve had a good life and I would like to personally meet and thank you. Any info would help my search.. amandaglover82@yahoo

NAWROCKI: from nawrócić (to convert, change one's religion); a common nickname for those who converted, usually from something else to Catholicism

Manda, I really understand you situation since I was in a similar one.

For years we tried to look for any family in Poland but the lack of the language is always a wall. Reading in the linkedin genealogist forum I found the contact of a consultancy company that for 10 euros found the original birth certificate of my grandfather, and thanks to this information we found the whole family! this summer will be the second visit. You may ask them for advice, their website is: castaneda com pl, there you can find their contact.
