Szczepany, Poland

I think I've traced my great-grandfather to a village outside of Bialystok called Szczepany. Anyone ever heard of this place or know anyone who's from there? I'd love to try to make contact with someone to see if any records of my great grandfather's birth or his family still exist.

You can find it on the google map, but put "szczepany podlasie"

My atlas-gazetteer does not list a Szczepany anywhere in Poland. In the area near Białtsyok I couldn't spot a town that spells anything close to that.

Across Poland there is 1 Szczepanek, 3 Szczepanki, 1 Szczepankowice, 7 Szczepankowo, 4 Szczepanowice, 1 Szczepanowo, 6 Szczepanów, and 1 Szczepańcowa.

There are at least 2. One is about 30km from Bialystok and the other, I think, is near Czestochowa

One Szczepany is in Łódź voviodship.
